🚧 Troubleshooting: GPS and Tracking Issues

"Show Driver Path" Displays Limited GPS Data

Some routes may show only a few registered locations instead of the full GPS path.

Recommended Actions:

  • Keep the app active in the foreground to improve tracking accuracy, so dispatch and customers can stay informed in real time.

  • Disable aggressive battery optimization features which may be suppressing GPS.

  • Refer to Don’t Kill My App! for device-specific configuration tips.

  • Check that the Driver App is updated to the latest version.

Driver Appears Offline When App is Minimized

This can occur on both Android and iOS due to OS restrictions on background activity.

Common Causes:

  • Battery-saving features may prevent background updates

  • The app loses connection when not actively in use

Fix for Android

  1. Open Settings > Apps > Mover Driver App > Battery

  2. Set Battery usage to Unrestricted

  1. Go to Settings > Mover Driver App

  2. Enable Background App Refresh

GPS is logging only at the Distribution Center (DC) or no GPS positions recorded

This often occurs when the driver has not allowed the app to run in the background, preventing proper GPS tracking.

Recommended action:

  1. Ensure the app is allowed to run in the background using Don’t Kill My App.

  2. Check the device’s GPS settings and confirm that location access is set to "Always".

GPS tracking is bouncing back and forth from the Distribution Center (DC)

Common Causes:

  • The same driver profile being used on multiple devices

  • GPS or app inconsistencies on the device

Recommended action:

  1. Assign unique driver profiles—one profile per device.

  2. Check and calibrate GPS settings on the driver’s device.

GPS logging on the route is partial or incomplete

Partial GPS data may result from:

  • The app not running in the background

  • Temporary device GPS issues

Recommended action:

  1. Ensure background app activity is allowed using Don’t Kill My App.

  2. Verify that device GPS is enabled and stable.

  3. If noticed during route execution, ask the driver to restart their device to reinitiate GPS tracking.

To prevent future occurrences:

  • Instruct drivers to avoid force-closing the app during active routes.

Additional Recommendations

  • Always keep the Driver App updated to benefit from the latest bug fixes and tracking improvements.

  • Ensure GPS and location services are set to "Always On".

  • Encourage drivers to start and keep the app active during execution.

  • Report persistent issues through the Help & Support section in the app.
