Introduction
Preloading means loading the colli into the delivery vehicle before the route, usually the day before. A planner creates the preloading task and assigns it to a preloader, who prepares the vehicle that another driver will use for the route.

Starting the preloading
The preloader gets a notification in the Driver App, or opens the app.
On the Bookings page, the preloader taps the date. Preloading tasks are shown in blue.
The preloader taps the task and checks the Start screen:
Gate: where to bring the vehicle
Make/model and licence plate: the vehicle assigned to the route

The preloader taps Start Preloading to see all colli to load.
Loading the vehicle
Preloading works like a regular pickup.
The preloader scans each label, and the collo is marked Loaded.
To report a deviation, or if a barcode can't be read, the preloader taps the barcode ID and selects the action:
The colour shows each collo's status:
Orange: a deviation, such as missing or damaged colli. The app asks for a note and photos where needed.
Green: loaded.
Info shows key information about the task.
The preloader taps Continue, then Complete.
The app then shows a recap of the preloading task.
Best practices
Add the gate and clear instructions to every preloading task, so the right vehicle is loaded at the right place.
Ask preloaders to complete the task once all colli are loaded, so the route is updated.
If something goes wrong
The route isn't updated after preloading
The preloader may have left the task with the X (top left) without completing it. They can reopen it and finish. The execution time keeps running while the task is open.
