Introduction

The Connections feature allows you to seamlessly connect your organization with a vast network of partners within the TMS ecosystem. Whether it’s last-mile deliveries to contractors or coordinating with linehaul providers, the feature simplifies these interactions, contributing to lower operational costs.

Benefits of Connections

Integrating Logistics Supply Chains: Connections allow you to collaborate, through Mover’s TMS, with other logistic partners, creating your own ecosystem. You can outsource and delegate operations while keeping a shared overview of Orders, Routes and their progress.

Reducing operational bottlenecks: In logistics, delays and miscommunication can lead to significant bottlenecks. Connections Contacts help you keep an overview of your and your partner’s contact people.

Ensuring quality control: With Connections you can rate the partners' performance from your supply chain, allowing you to maintain an overview of the work quality delivered by these partners and maintaining high standards across your operations.

Managing contractual agreements: Typically, you and your contractors will agree on monthly guaranteed amounts for driving routes. With Connection details, you can define these guaranteed amounts in the TMS and keep track of their utilization, to ensure all agreements are up-to-date and transparent.

Supporting automation of contractor selection: The ratings and guarantees given to your partners through Connections will be crucial for our AI features, ensuring that the best-suited partners are chosen based on their quality and contractual agreements.

Types of Connections Details

It’s important to note that Connections offers two distinct levels of information sharing:

  • Private Connections Details - including an internal reference for your connection, and performance rating you assign to a partner. These are confidential and only visible to your organization.

  • Shared Connections Details - providing both partners with contact details of key personnel who can be contacted when needed.

Getting Started with Connections

Creating a New Connection

To establish a Connection, both your organization and your partner must be users of the Mover TMS. Once you’ve identified a potential partner, ask them for their unique organisation ID, which you will need to invite them as your Connection. Think of this ID as a digital handshake, allowing you to invite them to join your network.

With the ID in hand, follow these steps to establish the Connection:

  1. Navigate to the Organization page

  2. Click on Connections

  3. Click on “Add Connection” in the center of the page, or “New Connection” in the top-right corner.

  4. Add the unique ID you received from your partner in the field “Organization ID” - based on this, the company name will automatically be filled out.

  5. Click “Send Invite” - your partner will receive an invitation informing them of your request to connect. In the meantime, the Connection will be shown as pending on your Connections page.

Managing Existing Connections

To modify existing connections, give ratings to your partners, or view their contact details, follow the steps below.

  1. On the Connections page, click on the organization whose details you want to change or see.

  2. Edit the Private Connection Details (remember these will only be visible to your organization)

    a. Add an internal reference for the Connection (optional) -this is purely for your internal records and it should be used as a way of helping other people in your organisation to identify the organization you’ve connected with.

    Example: Contractor South-East Denmark

    b. Give a performance rating to the partner (optional)

  3. Edit the Shared Connection Details (visible to both yourself and your partner’s organization)

    a. Contact Person at Your Organisation: Click on “Add Contact” to add a new person, or click the pen/trash bin icon next to an existing person to make changes or delete them.

    b. Contact People at the Partner Organization: You cannot make any changes to this section. Instead, you can view the details that the partner organisation has chosen to share with you, in case you need to get in touch.

  4. Click Save.
